DARE No.16 - Rach

This is a very cool dare. It is fun adding just the one colour to the black and white because it really does 'pop'. So obviously I chose this tealy blue colour as my colour pop and I'm loving the old pipe cleaners a la Kim Henkel again. Can't wait to do her class at Freestyle.
I have been waiting to scrap these photos and here was the perfect chance. This kiwi bloke is a sculpture in Katikati. So lifelike we just had to have photos taken with him. We were not the only ones, there was a steady stream of tourists.
Here is my take... Loved this pic of my DD and newphew at a park on our summer holiday. They were reading the graffiti (bad words and all!!) I had the idea when I printed it but needed something... Black and white with a colour POP! Was it! I have used the blue paint in the photo as my pop colour. Learnt how to do graffiti writing thanks to my lovely friend Michelle. No-one wanted there cellphone number on my layout but there are some special messages in the graffiti. Graffiti writing is more addictive than doodling. I couldn't stop!

Thanks to Meg at Scrapbook Essentials we'll have another wonderful price for this dare. Please leave a comment on Moniques post with a link to your dare and/or email to RANDYLGRAY@xtra.co.nz (100kb or less) by Wednesday 14th February, 6pm.

This was fun!! I was so pleased at how easily this came together for me, which dosen't happen often. I used the Hot/Cold theme in 2 ways - Hot Pink and Cold Grey/Silver for colour and Pink felt and Pink hessian AND silvery metal for texture. I was going to use the black and white version of this photo, but I threw the colour one on to see what it looked like and was rapt to see it went perfectly. I used the beautifier filter on the photo that Jo told us about in the last dare.
