Dare 15 - Jo

Wow had a lot of fun with this one, used up some photos I have been meaning to scrap for ages and revisited some old song lyrics. Monique's dare had me a bit stumped for a little while, especially after seeing Wendy's very clever take on it (wish I'd thought of that, 'cept mine would have been wine not gin Wendy!) so I decided to google hot and cold, and lo and behold up popped the lyrics to that good old Billy Joel song "it's still rock n roll to me". The lyrics go, "hot funk, cold punk, even if it's old junk it's still rock and roll to me." Well you wouldn't believe the ideas that were spinning through my head then! So these photos of the different styles of my daughter Sarah just seemed to fit the lyrics and after that the layout came together pretty easily. As you can see I have used a combination of hot colours - yellow, hot pink, orange, and cold colours - green, blue. The hot and cold theme is also there in the combination of old lyrics (cold) with hot new scrapbooking products (I especially love these journalling stamps and the pink martini papers) and techniques (digital photo altering). And of course the song lyrics themselves have a hot/cold theme.

What other inspirations come to mind with this inspiring hot/cold dare?...I am looking forward to seeing your efforts.
