Wow, I just can't believe how quickly these dares keep rolling around! We're up to number 45 already!
This week we're making it a little easier for you. Well sort of. Depends on whether you like sketches or not?
If you do, you're going to love this dare. Its to create your own LO based on this sketch:
Yep, gotta love a LO with a circle, lots of pictures and journaling! Can't wait to see your interpretations of it.
(sketch designed by Trina McClune)
Gwendolyn is our guest designer this week and here is her wonderful LO. As Gwendolyns journaling is Dutch, she has interpreted it for us:
"This LO is about "bevrijdingsfestival" (= dutch word). It is the day on which Holland celebrate our freedom. In 1940 Holland got involved in the second world war by the invasion of the Germans. On the 5th of may 1945 Holland was liberated by the allied. And nowadays we have music festival that day on which we celebrate that we can live in freedom"
Don't ya love the way she has used the Queen and Co felt flowers for her circle? Very clever! I'm also loving how Gwendolyn has swapped the photo composition around. That's the beauty of a sketch, you can take any part of it and use it for your inspiration.
So we'd love to see what you come up with...... Give it a go.
Post a link to your layout in the comments when you're done or send it via email to Lianne at RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz.
And hey, just for that extra bit of motivation.....check out who our sponsor is this fortnight?! Queen and Co. Thanks so much Queen and Co! We know our winner is going to love your parcel!
The dare deadline is Wednesday 21st May 6pm.
And here are some more LO's to be inspired by:
Trina's - I've taken the opportunity to do one about the twins first birthday party with our twin antenatal group. 12 1 year olds! LOL.
Sharon: Lesley
I created the scalloped circle by using a paper doiley as a template / mask and spraying with walnut ink.
Donna Vickys
Monique's - I created a 'mini' version of the sketch, interpreting it into a 6x12 format.
