Better late than never right?!!!
I love using circles but for this dare my take was that our family is like a circle - we all might do different things or go our separate ways but it all comes back to family.
Don't forget you only have a few days left to get your dare in - leave a comment on Faye's post with a link to your dare or email to RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz (100kb or less) by Wed 31st January, 6pm. And a big thankyou to the fab Lisa at Scrapbooking By Design for providing an awesome prize!

Dare # 14 - Megan
Cool topic Faye - Going round in circles, I immediately thought of all the circles I go round in.
How about the kindy - school - work - kindy - home - school - home circle I do in the car every day, or the fact housework makes you feel like you repeat the same thing everyday, or that movie 'Pay it Forward' where one offer of help multiplied around and around the country.
The one I decided on was the circle track of dead grass my boys have made around the house since they got the motorbike for Christmas.
The boys are so happy to go round and round, they don't get bored, they go faster or at a sharper angle around each corner, most times they make it, sometimes they don't.
I have stocked up on plasters :)

Dare # 14 - Trina
Poor Trina is sick at the moment. Get better soon matey!!
So I'm uploading her layout for this fortnights dare. She managed a double layout full of yummy circle embellies and the circle theme of coming back to her childhood town. Awesome Trina.
Just also want to thank Lisa from Scrapbooking by Design for her sponsorship of this fortnights dare.

Dare 14 - Lesley
I was reading a book to my daughter (Felecity Wishes by Emma Thomson) and the illustrations were so darn delightful that I found myself thinking , hey that would make a good scrapbook inspiration. I actually did finish storytime before i came downstairs to create something! My daughter is always dancing around and around in circles so I thought that these photos were perfect for this dare.
So I dare you to give this dare a twirl!

Dare 14 - Monique
Hi! My first thought when asked to create a circle themed layout was to create a big, bold, bright design so...I challenged myself to go in the opposite direction and give the circle theme a soft, subtle approach to suit these pictures of my little boy and I.
My interpretation has a circle inspired title and tiny circles edging the photos leading round to the butterfly. To create the scalloped effect at the top I stamped circles onto c/s using acrylic paint and the top of the paint bottle.

Dare 14 - Jo
Happy new year to all you dare takers out there.
Faye's "Going Round in Circles" dare inspired me in a couple of ways. Firstly I wanted to create a layout with as many circles as I could on it...circles don't feature in my layouts very often but I found them quite 'freeing' to use for a change - I didn't feel so constrained to create a balanced layout as I usually would. I used the circle within a square motif from the background paper to influence my layout design.
Secondly circles make me think of infinity, of something without end, and the Danny Kaye quote I used and the Belinda Carlisle song lyrics allowed me a way to translate this idea into a layout that expresses my love for my family.

Dare 14 - GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES
While I was in the middle of the silly season I stopped for a minute to catch my breath and thought, definitely sometimes I just seem to go round and round in circles. So that is our DARE to start 2007. Create a layout with a circles theme. Mine is about how I sometimes do seem to go round and round in circles and how this year I would like to find a good balance between family/friends, work/play, healthy and not so healthy.
We are very grateful for the wonderful support we received last year from retailers. To kick us off this year, Lisa at Scrapbook by Design has kindly donated a wonderful prize. Thanks Lisa!! So come on "I DARE YOU". Remember to leave a comment on this post with a link to your dare or email to RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz (100kb or less) by Wed 31st January, 6pm.
