Dare 12 - Yolande

Loved the colours in this ad as well as the block journaling so I started with those... and this great photo was taken by my bud Michelle TW. Thanks for the cool challenge this fortnight SJ. Look forward to seeing all your layouts inspired from this ad. And a cool prize from Pink Martini.
So come on "I DARE YOU" Remember to leave a comment on SJ's post with a link to your dare or email to RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz (100kb or less) by Wed 29th Nov, 6pm.

Dare 12 - Faye

I liked the blocks that were used in the Ad so I used that for my inspiration and added 3 photos across the bottom of the layout and of course, I am in love with word strips and had lots of fun adding MM christmas words. It's nearly Christmas 2006 and I have finally scrapped some of my Christmas 2005 photos.
Have fun and don't forget to email the link to your dare to randlgray@xtra.co.nz (100kb or less) by Wed 29 November, 6pm.

What a cool ad to use as inspiration. I loved the layout of the ad so I used that as my inspo.
This fortnights dare is sponsored by Pink Martini Designs, a new manufacturer from the US that our very own Sarah-Jane Bunting designs for. Thanks SJ and Pink Martini Designs. The winner will receive a gorgeous pack of papers. Yum yum.

Dare 12 - Lesley

I have used just about everything from this ad. The colours, the placement of the blocks, the circles, the positioning of the text.

Dare 12 - Ad inspiration challenge!!!

Many apologies for being late with this post. Those of us (me) who was in charge of posting this are at Scrapcamp and having way too much fun and clean forgot to post last night.
So, here it is, an ad for you to be inspired by. Whether you take inspiration from the colours, the layout, the circles, the text alignment, the title, the colour blocking or all of the above is totally up to you, have fun with it!

Edited by Marieke to add:
I have added the other entries we received for the previous dare underneath the winning layout to make sure this ad stays at the top of the blog for inspiration.

And the winner is....

Delys! Again, it wasn't easy to choose only one, but we really liked this on. And it follows all four "wordly" requirements. So congrats Delys! Please send your email to Lianne so she can send you out the prize by this dare's sponsor Scrappin Downunder.

The other entries we received and agonized over for 2 days are found below:

It's a World Wide Dare
Firstly I'd like to say thanks to Michelle Grant from the Aussie Dares for creating this wonderfully awesome banner for us.
How cool is that.
For this dare we joined forces with the Aussie Dares, The UK Dares and the US Effers for a combined dare.
The dare goes like this:
Childhood Memories or Dream theme
Cover the whole background/page
Throw in some paint
Title on the photo
And we had heaps of fun creating these to inspire you all.
This fortnights dare is sponsored by Scrappin Downunder.
The winner will receive a nice collection from the Bohemia range.
Please link us to your online gallery or blog in the comments section here please - or email a pic to RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz (100kbs or less) by Wednesday the 15th November 6pm.
(my apologies for deleting your comments on the original post, I had to rewrite the post to get it back up the top)

Dare #10 entries

Thank you to those five brave souls who took up our lettering template challenge. And well done to Kelly who found a creative alternative for templates. That is thinking outside the box which is ultimately what we are all about. We received 6 entries in total, with a double contribution from Gwen. How unlucky not to be drawn with two entries! Thank you for 'playing'.

And the winner is ...

Check out Kelly's cool layout. Love how she used the negatives of the BG letter stickers as border strips around her photo. Cool idea Kelly.
We decided to do a draw this week. We thought we'd mix it up a bit from now on and sometimes have a draw and sometimes choose a winner. Kelly can you please email me RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz your address for your prize from Scrapbook Essentials. Thank you so much Meg for sponsoring this dare.

Tomorrow night around about 9pm check the blog for a dare of international proportions. You are going to love this one. It's so big you won't believe it. Be here or be a triangle, hehe.
